Although the Leafs got trampled by the Sens last night, somehow this hit made it all worth it. I used to stick up for Daniel, but ever since he started shooting pucks at people, I’ve lost some respect for him.
The thing that bothers me the most is that after the game, Brian Murray (coach and GM for the Sens) seemed to think the hit was dirty. I’m so sick of coaches bitching about things through the press. Bell had both feet planted, shoulder down, and flat-out ran over him. There’s nothing dirty about that. Don’t believe me? Why didn’t the Sens beat the piss out of Bell after the play?
This morning on SportsCenter they were talking about all the things that would have to take place in order for the Sens to miss the playoffs. If this series of events was to unfold, I will sleep well until next October.

I don’t particularly care for Daniel so it’s hard for me to provide an unbiased opinion here.
On one hand, it was great to see him get levelled like that. On the other hand, you never like to see anyone get hurt as the result of a hit, dirty or not.
I also thought it was pretty big of Danny-boy to say what he did about the hit. Basically, I should have been paying attention.
